Hope in Words

A 70-Devotion Journey Through Faith, Silence and Becoming

Hope in Words is a Catholic devotional journey through ten stages of faith:

Across seventy short devotions, Scripture, reflection, prayerful thought, and space for personal journaling invite the reader to slow down and listen.

This book was written for those who may be searching for God, waiting for answers, carrying something difficult, or simply longing for a quiet place to breathe.

It is not a book about having everything figured out.

FOR THE READER

This book is for the person who may be carrying questions that have no easy answers.

For the person waiting.

For the person healing.

For the person who has wondered whether God is still there.

For the person whose faith feels strong one day and fragile the next.

And for anyone who simply needs a quiet place to remember that hope is still possible.

You do not have to have everything figured out before beginning.

You only have to take the next step.

HOW TO READ

This book is not meant to be rushed.

Let the pace be slow.
Let the silence speak.
Let each page meet you where you are.

Each journey contains short devotions followed by space for reflection and journaling.

You may read the journeys in order, or return to a reflection whenever your heart needs it.

There is no required pace.

Some days, one reflection may be enough.

Other days, you may read more.

Let your soul set the rhythm.

Above all, do not approach these pages as information to be consumed, but as moments to be received.

You are not reading alone.

A BOOK TO READ — AND, IF YOU WISH, TO WRITE IN

Hope in Words includes space for personal reflection and journaling throughout the journey.

You may simply read and reflect, or use the pages to write your own thoughts, prayers, questions, and moments of gratitude.

There is no right way to use the space.

It is yours.

FROM MY HEART TO YOURS

Throughout the journey, you will find letters written directly to the reader.

These are quiet pauses between the journeys — places to stop, look back, and consider what God may be doing within your own story.

They are invitations to reflect rather than instructions to follow.

Because every journey with God is personal.

THE PILGRIM’S PRAYER

Dear Lord,

In the stillness of this moment, quiet my heart.

Grant me the grace to listen more than I speak,
to trust more than I understand,
and to remain faithful even when I cannot see
the way ahead.

Walk with me through every page of this book,
and draw me closer to You.

Amen.
